Cathy is a Principal at KWC. Cathy brings over 30 years of experience in tax planning advisory and compliance to her role as a Principal with KWC. Her breadth of experience comes from years of work within public and private sectors. She has extensive training and experience in Historic Rehabilitation projects qualify for income tax credits.

Q. Why does your job matter to your clients?
I bring years of financial experience from both the private and public sector, helping clients with the financial aspects of their business so they can focus on growing their business.

Q. What are people most surprised to learn about your job?
Most people are surprised to learn tax season is a fun time of year because we get to meet and catch up with clients.

Q. What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
My favorite vacation spot is the Northern Neck of Virginia because I get to spend time with family when I am there.

Q. What’s your favorite book, or one that you’ve read recently?
My favorite book I have read recently is My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She’s Sorry by Fredrik Backman. This is the same author as A Man Called Ove, also a very enjoyable book.

Q. What are your favorite musicians or bands?
My favorite singer/ songwriter is Mary Chapin Carpenter.

Q. What’s one thing people are often surprised to learn about you?
I was in the same storm that sunk the tall ship (the Marques) off the coast of Bermuda in 1984. I was on a 55 foot sailboat in 25 foot seas.
