KWC is pleased to celebrate its 40th year anniversary. Starting with a small group of accountants in 1983, the firm has grown to one of the largest in the DC Metro area, as well as expanding to Richmond, Virginia in recent years.
The firm specializes in providing tax, audit, accounting and Client Advisory Services (CAS) for businesses, individuals, estates, trusts, non-profit organizations, and employee benefit plans. The diverse client base we serve includes industries such as professional service firms, government contractors, non-profits, real estate, construction and specialty contractors, and healthcare providers.
“We are thrilled to be celebrating our 40th year,” said Connie Hammell, KWC’s Managing Principal and head of the firm’s CAS practice. “We have been fortunate to grow alongside our clients and look forward to the next forty.”
The firm merged in two Richmond area practices in 2017 and 2022, respectively. The firm now has 22 principals and over 120 staff, making it one of the largest regional firms in Virginia.
KWC is a member of the G400 Group, identified by the AICPA as one of the 500 largest CPA firms in the United States, out of 44,000 in the nation. Additionally, the firm was recently named to INSIDE Public Accounting magazine’s list of the 300 largest firms in the United States. The firm is also a repeat winner of many workplace awards, including the Best Places to Work in Virginia and Accounting Today’s Best Accounting Firms to Work. The firm has also been named to the Accounting MOVE Project’s Equity Leadership Firms listing for multiple years, having one of the highest percentages of female partners in the nation based on the public accounting firms surveyed.
