Seasonal Tax Preparers – Alexandria office

 
We are looking for high-caliber experienced seasonal tax preparers and reviewers for complicated individual and business income tax returns in our Alexandria, Virginia office. ProSystems Tax and trial balance experience is required and experience in a paperless environment is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Our seasonal positions are for those who wish to primarily work from February to mid-April, although there may be an opportunity for additional hours outside of tax season. Ideally, these will be recurring annual positions for the right people. We can accommodate flexible schedules but request that you be able to commit to at least 25 hours per week during tax season. Tax Manager/Business Development – Richmond office

 
This is a newly created position due to new client growth and current client relationship service expansion at our Richmond, Virginia office. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to serve privately held businesses and their owners with their tax and financial needs and will have proven sales experience. A strong entrepreneurial spirit is also required. The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of working directly with firm principals and business owners. An ability to communicate clearly on complex matters both orally and in writing is very important.

The candidate should have a career goal of having a clear path to a leadership/ownership position at a dynamic regional CPA firm.

Job Duties:
• Lead and manage the client relationship with a focus on high-value quality tax advice and seek to expand services to clients
• Drive growth and profitability by generating new revenue on existing client portfolio, cross selling and new clients.
• Interact directly with clients handling questions, planning, consulting, etc.
• Build relationships across lines of business to ensure excellent client service through an integrated service approach
• Manage client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance
• Train and develop staff members
• Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law

Qualifications:
• CPA license
• 6-8+ years of public accounting
• Richmond area candidate preferred
• Must be able to support financial growth efforts and manage a book of business
• Experience with privately held small to mid-market businesses and their owner’s tax/ financial needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Project management and critical thinking skills
• Ability to generate new business and extend service opportunities
